About Velocity
At Velocity, we focus on helping people be better off than when they started.
Velocity was founded in the early 2000s by Graham and Brendon, who moved from social work into financial advice to help more people get into their first homes. Since then, the business has grown into a team of over twenty advisers and support staff. We now provide a full range of services, including mortgages, insurance, investment advice, KiwiSaver, and financial planning. Having these services in one place isn’t common in our industry, and it allows us to take a more joined-up approach to advice. We work with individuals, families, businesses, and organisations—including those in the impact sector—supporting a wide range of financial needs and goals.
A lot of our work comes through client referrals and long-standing relationships, which reflects the way we approach advice.
Helping people make good financial decisions over time is still at the centre of what we do.

Our team
Our advisers and support team bring a mix of backgrounds and experience. Many have come from careers outside financial services, which adds real-world perspective to the work we do with clients. That experience matters. We support clients through major life moments—buying a first home, running a business, planning for retirement, or navigating unexpected challenges. Having a team that understands those realities makes a difference.

Current opportunity
Experienced Financial Advisers – Wellington or Bay of Plenty
We’re open to conversations with experienced advisers who can both build new relationships and develop long-term client portfolios.
You’ll be supported by:
An established brand and referral network
Operational and admin support
Access to a full advice offering (mortgages, insurance, investments, KiwiSaver, financial planning)
A team environment that values consistency and professionalism
This role suits someone who wants to build something sustainable—not just chase short-term volume.
What success looks like in this role
Building and maintaining your own client relationships
Generating new business through referrals, networks, and partnerships
Providing clear, compliant, and practical advice
Working across a range of client types, including individuals, families, businesses, and impact organisations
Taking a long-term view of client outcomes
Contributing positively to the wider team
