First, we talk.
We start with a kōrero about where you are at today and what you are dreaming of for your tomorrows. In these strategy sessions we draw out what really matters to you, so we can start planning towards it. We start from your current financial position and work out the number you need to get to. There may be some homework and exercises at this stage to get your imagination fired up and help you decide what goals to focus on.
Then, we plan.
Once your goals are decided, the second stage is where your financial adviser will formulate the nuts and bolts of your financial strategy to get you to where you want to be. We’ll look at the whole picture, from your investments to your debt, your tax to your KiwiSaver, your insurance to your property and explore the best options to achieve your goals. We’ll have another korero or two about how it all works, and you’ll get the opportunity to revise any bits that you need to.
Then, we work. Once you are happy with your strategy, we work with you to do the mahi. Depending on your situation, this can involve anything from setting you up into managed funds, paying down debt, to getting a will in place. Your plan is laid out into steps, so we can work on one manageable chunk at a time. We will regularly review your progress and adjust as needed.
