Meet the Team: Simon O'Neill

Simon is the newest team member at Velocity Financial and, with previous roles in banking and finance plus a can-do attitude, we’re thrilled to have him on board.

Simon attended a course with one of Velocity’s insurance providers and there met a couple of established Velocity team members. Over the course of the three-day course, Simon made quite an impression on our team. They thought this chap would make a great fit at Velocity!

So we called him up, he had a coffee with Brendon and Graham, and from there things just slid into place …

Simon is a people person and thrives on establishing new relationships as well as building existing ones.

One of the strengths Simon brings to the team is more than six years working in the banking industry. Coming from an organisation that believes in making Kiwis better off, Simon continues this philosophy of doing what’s right for all clients.

In his own words, “Clients appreciate a dedicated, professional approach across all areas of their finances; someone who can provide a seamless, collaborative approach and ensure outcomes save time and money.”

Coming from a large organisation to a small close-knit team was a big pull for Simon. To be amongst a supportive group of like-minded professionals in this new and vibrant team environment is a real game changer.

Simon is a husband to Cushla and proud father to two awesome boys. He’s also a cricket and football coach, dog lover and avid supporter of all his children’s endeavours. Simon loves to cook—always trying new and interesting dishes (often outside his comfort zone). And he chips away at adding value to his property.

Simon O'Neill is a Registered Financial Adviser with Velocity Financial. No investment decision should be taken based on the information in this blog alone. A disclosure statement is available free of charge upon request.
