We’re stoked to welcome Alex to the team! Joining Brendon Ojala's crew as a Client Services Manager, Alex brings a fresh perspective, a great attitude, and a real drive to grow.
As per our usual intros, we asked Alex some questions!
Honestly, I think KiwiSaver gets Gen Z thinking about retirement pretty early. With how unpredictable everything feels right now—cost of living, job security, all of it—it kind of forces us to think ahead sooner than we might’ve planned, which is actually a really good thing.
We’ve definitely got our fair share of challenges—student loans, crazy rent prices, and a job market that’s all over the place. It’s a lot. But on the flip side, we’re super tech-savvy, and a lot of us are already dabbling in investing, even while we’re still studying. Starting early like that could really pay off down the line. So yeah, it’s tough—but I still feel hopeful for our generation 🙂
I recently graduated with my Uni economics degree, so since I’m new to both finance and office life, I’m hoping to build up my product knowledge and grow professionally. I’m also hoping to pick up skills that’ll help me outside of work too.
Brendon Ojala really inspires me. He’s such a hard worker and always brings his A-game. His thoughtful and punctual approach really motivates me to show up as the best version of myself.
“Crank Dat” by Soulja Boy—no shame, it just hits.
I play guitar, help out at the animal shelter, love cooking, and I’m always trying to learn new languages.
“To get something you never had, you’ve got to do something you’ve never done.”(Jose N. Harris) It’s been sticking with me lately.
I’d go back to see Greece win the Euros in 2004. Such an epic underdog moment—I would’ve loved to be there for that!
